appearance. Dyn is a muscular young man with broad shoulders and a stocky build. He has light brown hair that is usually cut to about two inches in length. It is slightly wavy, but not very much. His eyes are blue grey, and they glow in sunlight. They do not express much about his feelings, although people may think they do.They shift depending on the light, not on Dyn's mood. His face is oval shaped, with a jutting chin. His skin is lightly tanned, but it burns sometimes because he forgets to put on sunscreen. He usually wears t-shirts and jeans to work, unless he is doing a practice show. To those and to real shows, he wars a collared shirt and slacks. His shirts are almost all blue, but he does have a light green one that his mother gave him. He has only two pairs of shoes, a worn green pair of stable boots for everyday, and black polished boots for shows and other things. His work clothes are almost always covered in horse hair. He may wear a shirt twice if he doesn't have the time or inclination to do laundry, but that only happens sometimes. He is allergic to gluten, if he eats even a trace of it, his throat starts to swell shut. He always carries medication around with him just in case this happens.

personality. Haidyn is pretty easygoing about most things. He doesn't mind what is for dinner, or who rides in what order during practice. The thing he does care about, though, and is very strict about, is taking care of horses. He dislikes seeing anyone pull heavily on a horse's mouth, and is likely to just call them to get off of their horse. The other thing that annoys him is when people give him nicknames and call him that without his approval. The most common example is 'Hai'. Most people think that that is his nickname of choice, but he hates the name. He appears gruff on the outside, especially when he gets to know someone, but he actually has a soft spot.He absolutely loves cats, enjoying their independence and their humor. He always walks by all of the horse stalls before he leaves work, making sure that all of them are taken care of, and cooled off.

history. Dyn was born in the small town of Broadus, Montana. His parents had wanted a child for so long, they were overjoyed with him. They granted him any wish, withheld nothing from him... except one small fact. He wasn't their son after all. He was, in fact, the son of Leah's best friend. He found out when he was thirteen, when he found his adoption certificate laying on his 'mother's' desk. They explained what had happened to his parents, and why they had kept his parentage a secret. Haidyn felt like he couldn't trust them for a few years after that, but one day, he understood their reasons and how he was hurting them. Dan took him aside one day when he was fifteen and explained that family had nothing to do with blood, it was all about the bond between members. Dyn went to his mother and apologized for his years of coldness.
Dyn had a good time at grade school, as grades were easy for him to keep up. He just did his homework quickly, then went out to ride or play. He had a small group of friends, many of whom he is still in contact with today. Middle school got a little bit harder for him, and he didn't have as much time to play as before, but he still spent almost every weekend at a horse show. In high school, he got laughed at for working so much with horses, but he persevered and continued to be the valedictorian of his high school.
Dyn was then accepted at Rowanoak University. He kept his deep love for Western Pleasure, though, and for Showmanship. Sadly, he was not allowed to ride in his two disciplines, but was forced to ride Hunt Seat instead. He got along, sometimes placing well and sometimes not so well, but he always tried his best. He made friends easily, now that they all worked with horses, and by his third year in Rowanoak, he had a large group of friends.
His parents noted his efforts in riding in the new style and decided to allow him to work with his favored riding ways instead. They bought him a horse as soon as he graduated from the University. That is how he got Balian, the grey gelding he has gone to and won many shows with in the past. He kept Balian at Ridgefield, not sure what he would do, but just staying in the area. He worked as a stable hand, getting just enough money to keep himself in an apartment and Balian in a stall. He enjoyed working at the stables, and the manager knew it.
One day, he was practicing Western Pleasure riding with Balian in the ring when the manager happened to watch him. The manager was impressed with the knowledge and experience that Dyn had of the event, so he offered Dyn a higher position. The stable needed a new Western Pleasure and Showmanship trainer, and Dyn took the spot happily. No more scraping to make ends meet,no more tiny apartment.
He moved up to a larger room, one where he was allowed to keep pets. This was a good development, as he found an injured cat just after he moved to the new apartment. He named that cat Nox, and took him in. Now the cat is a part of the family, often coming with Dyn to the stable to just laze in the sun. He got to stay by the school that made him, work with his horse, and teach others about the riding he had a passion for. That is the position he will be taking at the start of this school year.
riding history. Dyn started riding at the age of five. His best friend's parents owned a riding stable. Dyn was given riding lessons for free in the hope that he would be able to accompany his friend in rides later in their life. He learned to ride well there, riding any of the stable horses that were not needed for normal lessons that day. The first discipline he was taught was Showmanship. He did well in the small shows he attended. These he had to do alone, as his friend didn't have a liking for the presentation part. He learned Western Pleasure riding, and at age seven, he and his friend both appeared in their first competition. He continued riding the horses and competing in small shows around his hometown. He did quiet well, and he was overjoyed to be accepted at Rowanoak. There he continued showing, albeit at a higher level. After he finished school, his parents bought him his first own horse, and his only one. He still shows Balian, and now he will be attending shows with his students.
