appearance
height. 5 foot 7 inches

appearance. Genesis is pretty average, average height, good weight. She does have a few scars from riding accidents, but the most noticeable would be one the one on the outside of her left calve, a horse spooked while she was taking lessons as a kid and it ran into the arena fence, the wooden fence tore through her breeches and left a large scar across her calve. When it comes to her looks she mostly gets it from her mother, dark brunette hair which she died blonde a few years ago. Her eyes are bright blue that occasionally look green or grey, but mostly due to lighting or hue. As for clothing, Genesis isn’t really an out-going or crazy type, she likes darker colors and neutrals and more or likely wears things that she can quickly transition into riding clothes. When Genesis knows she won’t be riding, or if she’s going on a date or to a party she still keeps it toned down, she isn’t the kind of girl to wear tight fitting clothes or things that she can’t breathe in. Nope, she’d be perfectly fine in jeans and a t-shirt. All in all Genesis isn’t over the top, she’s pretty average overall and prefers clothing she can ride in over designer labels – designer riding labels excluded.

likes. hot-tempered horses, organization, jumping, vanilla coke, her home land
dislikes. speaking English, other people handling her horse, pre-judgment, people who use humor in serious situations, silly mistakes
personality. Genesis was raised in a fairly strict German family so she is fairly strict about keeping things neat and tidy, and she would hardly ever turn anything in late unless there was a real and major reason behind it. When it comes to horses she is extremely over protective of her own horse and has a paranoia of people dealing with him. For temperament she enjoys horses that pose a little bit of a challenge, hot-tempered hard to handle horses are a passion of horses, though it gets her in trouble from time to time she will probably never be able to give them up. Being German she is still getting used to speaking English and she doesn’t take a great like to it, she’d much rather speak her native tongue than trying to perfect the English language. A pet-peeve of hers would be making silly mistakes, as stated before she was raised in a strict family so she believes if silly mistakes can be prevented, it is her job to make sure they don’t occur. Personally, Genesis is a bit of a loner, she has a hard time adjusting and spends lots of time with her horse, and though it may be a bit difficult to strike up a conversation with her horses is always a central point that puts a spark in her eyes. Affairs of the heart is something she tries to avoid, she was always told as a child that silly relationships get in the way of what’s really important so she tends to prevent getting lost in mushy, fairytale love or anything of the sort. At first meeting, Genesis may seem a bit mean and competitive however after getting to know her she is very friendly and very loyal.

history. Genesis is the oldest of two. Born to German couple Jakob and Michelle. Born in the horse capital of Germany she has always been around horses, her parents actually owned a farm on the skirts of the town where they bred and trained German Thoroughbreds and German Warmbloods, as well as Doberman dogs. Growing up as a child her parents were extremely strict, and by the time she was seven she was taking lessons at her local academy on the school’s ponies. At school she always played violin, a choice made by her parents. The lowest grade accepted by her parents was a B, so she always worked very hard and devoted herself to her work. From devoting herself to her work, she learned to be strict with herself and raise herself to higher standards, as well as to always put a hundred and ten percent of effort into everything she does. The only bad part of it is that she is extremely hard on herself when she messes up.
In her teenage years Genesis became more interested in the horses her parents worked with but protested their decision to not allow her to get involved with the horses at their farm, mostly by sleeping in the barn and forcing herself into the everyday work of the horses, whether it was taking horses from pasture to their stalls, handling foals or tacking and grooming horses she made it loud and clear to her parents that no matter their plans for her she was going to be involved with horses for the rest of her life. When she was sixteen she was finally permitted her first horse, an old horse that took a lot of leg to get going but had problems with jumping fences - especially the pasture fence. With the new found love of hers she quickly dived into the entire idea of showing, using what she was taught at the local riding academy from nine years prior, she began memorizing dressage tests and working on them with her horse. Sadly, her horse had to put down due to colicing over the summer so she didn’t have a horse to compete with for her towns major summer season, which she had been preparing for. When Genesis turned eighteen she persuaded her parents into letting her move to America, when they finally did she found herself riding with a show stable in New York, she started from the bottom and worked her way up in the showing ranks. She also served as a groom at shows where she wasn't competiting and earned extra cash by working as a waitress at nights and exercising horses, mainly polo ponies, during the mornings and days until she had enough money to buy her own horse at age twenty one. Soon after she discovered about Rowanoak and found herself doing everything she could to be accepted.
riding history. Genesis grew up in Germany’s horse capital as well as around horses as her parents bred and trained German Warmbloods and Thoroughbreds but didn’t officially get involved with them until she was seven when she began taking lessons at her local riding academy. In her earlier teenage years she became more interested in showing and competing but didn’t receive her first horse until she was sixteen. After practicing her butt off she wound up not being able to compete due to her horse being put down due to colic. At eighteen she moved to America and rode with a show stable on Long Island, New York where she proceeded to work her way through the showing ranks, riding in the Hamptons Classic in Bridgehampton at age twenty. Just a year later she had saved up enough cash from her winnings to buy her current horse Denali. She hasn’t showed much with him, nothing besides a few schooling shows and a few shows in upstate New York but she has utilized the time to get acquainted with the gelding, as she realized how much she never really knew her first horse who passed on prematurely. Not only has she been using her time wisely to get to know her gelding but also to work on her jumping and cross country skills which has become a new found love of hers and with her leggy and bold partner she has found some success with.

sample. from my own site, my most recent post (btw it is a shapeshifter rp just to clarify)As soon as he mentioned sneaking up on him she looked down but an eyebrow raised annoyingly when he mentioned her scratching his leather couch. “I’m not a house cat Orson; I don’t destroy furniture unless I truly want to.” She looked at him than ignored his suspicious gaze and after he moved his feet she came around to the front of the couch and squeezed herself as close as she could to the arm rest, her eyes turning to the TV for a moment until he mentioned shifting, her eyes narrowed and she looked at him from the corner of her eye and whispered, not really caring if it was loud enough for him to hear or not. “You’re the smartass that cornered me. You’re lucky I didn’t let it kill you.” She snorted but as he finished his comment she found a smile coming across her lips, the thought of her being nothing more than a house pet, actually entertained her.
However her happiness was cut short at the very sound of rules. She looked at him, and rolled her eyes. “Tomorrow? I’m tired. Now that I’m here not really like you have to hunt me down just for a single conversation.” With that she was on her feet again, coming around the couch. Her eyes flashed to meet his a final time as she made her way to the bedroom. “Night Orson.” A cat-that-ate-the-canary smile fell across her lips and she had the odd sensation that she was actually getting away with something, that is until she yawned and an undeniable wave of exhaustion swooped over her and she was almost glad that she was soon crawling into his bed.

She stretched, arms over her head and a yawn escaping her. She blinked a few times than looked around, almost forgetting that she had fallen asleep at Orson’s. She blinked a final time than twisted onto her side, where another powerful yawn pressed itself from her. She sighed than laid on her stomach her hands sliding under the pillows and extending until she was able to mock an all too feline stretch. She sighed again, which was instantly followed by yet another yawn. She froze in the position than glanced around, until finally a bright green light gave her the time. Three in the morning. She groaned and fell onto her side. Rolling her eyes as she forced her legs to slip over the edge and tumble onto the floor. She rested back on her hands for a moment, letting her shoulders tighten and her head drop. She took a deep breath and she listened for a moment, it was practically silent besides the nearly non-existent hum of traffic below.
Now that the food had settled in her stomach and she had gotten some, good, uninterrupted sleep she felt a lot better. Her eyes turned towards the bedroom door and she wondered if Orson was still asleep. Forcing herself onto her feet Genesis made sure to walk quietly, as silently as she had when she previously snuck up on him, probably more carefully if even possible. She made she to open the door slightly, making sure it didn’t make any noise than carefully opened it just enough so that she could just slip through.
Stepping into the condo her eyes quickly darted around than locked on the couch. It was pretty dark but lit enough so that she didn’t have to use feline sight to make her way towards the front door. She knew she shouldn’t just leave like this, seeing as she was in clothes that he had given her but hey, he did say she can leave when she was able to get out on her own will. Never did he say she had to fight him to get away. As she drew closer to the couch she held her breath for as long as she could, took as many steps as she could than froze, exhaled through her nose slowly and quietly than took another deep breath and kept moving.
When she reached the front door she growled the door was locked, and god knows there wasn’t any way to unlock a lock without making some sort of noise. She sighed and looked back at Orson, than huffed lightly, bringing a hand up she carefully turned the lock, the traces of her muscles getting ready to sprint down the hall if needed.
