Jackson Meelly, the well-to-do blond boy with an outwardly sour attitude. He comes off as the bad boy, in his cowboy boots and jeans, but inside is insecure and a bit awkward around girls, hell even guys, his own age. Never grew up around horses, but found them out of need for something challenging.
I want him to find a mentor, first of all, could be anyone, as he doesn't really feel romantically towards girls. If any girls would walk a brotherly friend, this would be the guy. I'm not really looking for a romantic plot (le gasp) but it would be nice in far away future.
Any ideas?

Sami is a year younger than him, but apparently they share a slightly awkward personality. she isn't fantastic with people, doesn't love to open up or anything. Even if you really think you know the girl you probably don't know what she thinks or worries about close to 70 percent of the time. She isn't good on the whole relationship level - isn't looking for one at all right now. She is however in need of some good friends, even if they start off a little rocky she would enjoy having an older brother figure to be there if she ever did need to open up.
I see them being the unlikley pair of friends, with her being quite proper and prim and him being "bad ass" his influence might loosen her up a little - but in a brotherly way of course. Let me know what you think, it isn't a set plot - we could always stick them together and see how it goes...

Haha, sounds like a plan! I can see them bumping into each other once in a while and finally talking awkwardly. Jacks can use all the help he can get navigating a real barn situation, since he only really started getting into riding in high school. Maybe he will ask her for a tip or two and they can get buddy buddy while picking stalls or something.

I can start a thread in the barn and they can bump into each other there!
