appearance. Brooklyn stands at an average height of 5 foot 6. She isn't the tallest girl around, but she isn't the shortest either. She maintains a healthy weight of 125 pounds from riding and regular exercise. Brooke has a slender frame, with slight curves. She has long, muscular legs, and a shorter torso. Overall, her muscles are quite toned. She has worked hard to get them this way, and continues to work hard to stay toned. She doesn't have the fastest metabolism, so she is forced to work out in order to stay in optimum shape.
Brooke's skin is naturally quite pale, but has taken on a light tan from time spent outside. She suffered an unfortunate case of acne in her earlier teen years. Most of it has cleared up, but a few scars remain. She has a pretty face, with a strong bone structure, and high cheekbones. She has thin lips. She was blessed with naturally straight teeth, giving her a killer smile. She has a small nose, that is slightly pointed. She has soft brown almond eyes that are surrounded by black lashes. Her hair is a darker shade of brown. It falls well past her shoulders. It is straight, and fine, and refuses to hold a curl without excess amounts of hairspray. Brooke doesn't mind her hair, but normally keeps it pulled back in a ponytail.
At the barn, Brooke will normally wear a pair of tan breeches, a simple polo shirt, and tall boots. Outside of riding she dresses quite simply. Rarely is she seen in more than a pair of jeans, and pretty top. However, she doesn't mind dressing up from time to time. Brooke doesn't spend too much time on her appearance. Overall, she likes to look smart, and well groomed.

personality. Brooklyn is definitely not a shy girl. She has a warm smile, and an outgoing personality. She normally appears to be in a good mood, and is quite optimistic. This makes it easy to tell when she is upset, because there seems to be a drastic change from her normal nature. Brooke is polite, and kind to everyone, unless they insult or annoy her. She prefers to refrain from making enemies. However, if you do cross her, she won't hesitate to give you a taste of your own medicine. Small things don't really phase her, and it takes a lot to make her really angry. When she is angry, she is more likely to give someone the silent treatment, rather than scream and yell. She can hold a grudge forever, and can be very passive agressive. On the other hand, Brooke is fiercely loyal, and would do anything for those she loves. She doesn't hand her trust out too easily. Being naive as a young teenager, she was hurt many times, and smartened up fast. Her first impressions of people are almost always the same - your innocent until proven guilty, and she has no reason to be anything but kind to you unless you are anything but kind to her. She is very focused, and once she has her mind set on something, it's almost impossible to sway her. The same goes for her opinions. She stands by her beliefs firmly, and will have no problem arguing with you about them. However, as long as you don't shove your beliefs down her throat, she will be quite willing to listen to your opinion. While she is extremely focused on her education, and riding, she will break down and have fun once in a while. She knows how to party, and if fun to be around. Brooklyn is a very open minded girl. She is open to trying almost anything with almost every one. She can be described as passionate. Of course there are feelings of insecurity behind the happy exterior. Brooke is a good actress, and is good at covering her insecurities up. She tries to come across as confident, even if she doesn't always feel that way. She is always willing to listen, but doesn't like to burden other people with her feelings. Brooklyn is a perfectionist, and is often way to hard on herself. She is a little bit to competitive for her own good, but then again, what equestrian isn't? Overall she is gentle on other people, but very hard on herself. She can be a bit of a control freak at times, but does her best to keep this in check.

history. Brooklyn was the first and only child of Lillian and Samuel Fraser. Samuel came from a wealthy family, and had been riding horses for his entire life. He got Lillian pregnant in their last year of high school, and agreed to marry her in order to take care of the baby. After Brooklyn was born, her parents divorced. Neither of them could stand to be in a loveless marriage. Lillian took Brooklyn, and the two of them moved from Florida to New Jersey.
Things were always a bit hard during Brooke's early childhood. Lillian hadn't had the chance to attend college, so she had trouble finding a good job to support herself and her young daughter. Brooklyn didn't always have everything she wanted, but she had everything she needed. She loved her mother, and they were happy together. From a young age, Brooke had been fascinated by horses. She begged her mother to let her ride, but they couldn't afford lessons. Every weekend, Lillian would take Brooke to the library, and they would spend hours there reading books about horses.
However, tragedy struck when Brooke was only 7 years old. Her mother was killed in an awful car accident, and Brooke had to go live with her father. She had rarely seen her father as a child. Grief stricken by the loss of her mother, Brooke had a hard time adjusting to living with her father. However, Samuel knew of her love of horses, and brought her to his father's horse farm. At age 8, Brooke started to take her first riding lessons. She thrived, and the horses helped her cope with the loss of her mother.
Samuel bought Brooke her first pony when she was 12 years old. The pony was a bay Connemara, standing at about 13.3hh. His name was Duncan. She entered her first shows on him in medium pony hunters. Brooke and Duncan did quite well together, and started to compete together regularly. They eventually moved on to do jumpers together, and even a little bit of dressage.
Things were looking up for Brooklyn at this point. Her high school years were quite average. She wasn't the most popular girl at school, but she had a group of close friends. She was invited to parties, and some of the boys even gave her attention. Brooklyn wasn't all too concerned with her social life at school. Riding was the main focus of her life. Brooklyn's best friend, Sasha, rode at the same barn as her. The two were inseparable. They did almost everything together, and got into all sorts of trouble. They competed at the same show, and there was always a bit of competition between them, but they never let it destroy their friendship.
Brooke had one boyfriend in high school. The two started dating in their sophomore year, and continued dating into their senior year. Things were starting to get quite serious, and her boyfriend tried to make Brooke pick between horses and him. Naturally, Brooke stayed devoted to riding. However, she cared deeply for the boy, and was heartbroken. She dated casually after that, but didn't enter into any serious relationships.
In her last few years of high school, Brooklyn buckled down and decided to raise her marks. The marks she had been pulling were average, but not high enough to get her into a good university. She made a deal with her father that if she raised her marks enough, he would allow her to go to university anywhere she wished. All the hard work payed off, and Brooklyn got accepted into the university of her dreams. She is sad to leave her father, and is being forced to part with Sasha. However, she can hardly wait for the next chapter is her life to begin.
riding history. Brooklyn's love of horses began at an early age. However, she didn't start to ride until she was 8 years old. Her grand father owned a horse farm, with professional trainers. Brooklyn always had well trained ponies to ride, and they helped her obtain good solid basics. At age 12, Brooklyn's father bought her a pony named Duncan. Duncan and Brooke started to compete together in medium pony hunters. The two excelled, and Brooke started to compete regularly. Growing up in Wellington, Florida, Brooke was fortunate enough to be able to show for most of the year.
After a couple years of showing hunters and jumpers, Brooklyn decided to take a break from jumping, and pursue dressage. While she loved to jump, she felt that if she could improve her dressage, her riding as a whole would be better. Brooklyn was 14 by this point, and had outgrown her beloved Duncan. Sadly, Duncan was sold. Her father bought Brooke her first horse. The horse was a lovely dappled grey, and stood at 15.2hh. This horse was named Solaris, and he was well trained in dressage, but a different ride than Brooke was used to. While Duncan had been a good pony, he had been quite push button. Solaris required that Brooke actually ride, and not just sit on his back as a passenger. For the first couple of months, Brooke struggled with riding Solaris. However, things started to turn around. By the time show season started, her and Solaris were the an amazing team. She could ride him in a proper frame, and she could shoulder in with the best of them. She showed up to second level dressage on Solaris, and schooled up to third, and even fourth level at home.
When Brooklyn did start to jump again, her skills had improved tremendously because of her experience in dressage. She decided that she wanted to event. That way, she could jump, but continue to ride dressage. Brooklyn continued to ride Solaris, and show him in dressage. She didn't want to part with him, but he wasn't suited to being an eventer. Solaris was a wonderful dressage horse, but lacked the scope to jump the big jumps. She leased a Warmblood from her stable, and started to event on him. She also rode a few of her coach's horses, to gain experience, and to be able to adapt to different horses.
Brooklyn still owns Solaris, but he has retired happily at her grand father's farm. She is sad to leave her coach, and the horses from her barn behind, but she can hardly wait to start riding new horses. She knows the lessons and trainers will be amazing, and make her an even better rider.

sample. From a fantasy roleplay. The past couple of years had been hard for Akasha. Her beloved mother had died suddenly from a strange illness, leaving the Fiesole family feeling lost, and abandoned. Leliana Fiesole had been the rock of her family, the force that kept them together. Akasha had been the answer to Leliana’s prayers. After giving birth to two sons, she was finally graced with a daughter. Leliana made sure that Akasha grew up well. She made sure that Akasha was kind, and strong. That she understood how blessed they were to have all they did, and that nothing came without hard work. Akasha honored her mother’s beliefs, and grew up differently from most nobles. Akasha and her mother had been especially close, and the women’s death had devastated her.
After Leliana’s death, things had gotten even worse. The Fiesole family started to drift apart. Akasha’s father, Trent, had fallen into a deep depression. His beloved Leliana had died, and it had torn a hole in his heart. He turned to the bottle to ease his pain, drowning out the emotion, numbing it. Akasha’s brother’s fled, leaving their younger sister to deal with their drunken father. Eventually Trent followed the same path as his wife. The physicians all told Akasha that he had died from drinking too much alcohol, but she swore it was from a broken heart.
Akasha felt empty and lost after the death of her parents. She had left court, needing time to get her life back in order. She had changed over the past couple of years. She had matured significantly, both physically and emotionally. Her gangly childhood limbs were gone, replaced by women’s curves. However, her face retained its youthful glow. Her rambunctious, instigating nature was gone, and she was now a more classy young women. But she still had that spark that made her who she was. She was calm on the outside, but spontaneous and alive inside.
Things had seemed to pick up. Akasha got back into touch with her two brothers. The Fiesole family slowly came back together. The hole in Akasha’s heart quickly filled up. She loved her family more than anything, and she needed them in her life. So once she was feeling better, Akasha decided to return to court. And here she was, walking slowly through the castle grounds. She had found herself doing that a lot these days. Just wandering through the castle grounds, thinking, and contemplating her life.
Today, Akasha felt nostalgic. Particularly memories of her closest childhood friend, Joscelin seemed to be haunting her. Memories of riding unicorns, racing, playing in the forest, running away from the servants, wrestling, sword fighting. Was there ever a time better than being a child? And as they grew, so did her feelings. She had always been attracted to him. His strong jaw, his high, sloping cheekbones, his full lips, his soft eyes, his perfect smile. He was so beautiful. But even more, he was such a good person. So sincere, and loyal. He had been one of the only people she truly trusted. She cared for him, would have done anything for him. She desired him, yearned for something more than friendship. But he had never seemed to notice her feelings. She didn’t dare tell him, in fear of destroying their friendship. And if she did that, she wouldn’t be able to live with herself.
Akasha paused, spotting two men sparring. She sat down on a nearby bench, watching from afar. The older man seemed to have the upper hand at first.. She watched for a time with mild interest. She got up, turning to leave, when she noticed the tide of battle change. The younger man soon became dominant, besting his opponent. She walked closer, to see who had been fighting. She paused, squinting. There was something so familiar about the younger man. Maybe it was the way he stood, the way he held his weapon, his laugh. Something inside of her ceased up. Could it be-
“Joscelin!” Akasha cried. It was him, she knew it. She ran to him then, tears beginning to stream down her face.
